.I retired on 31 January ,2016 ,as Additional Plant Protection Adviser IPM from Dte of Plant Protection Quarantine and Storage NHIV Faridabad under Union Ministry of Agiculture,and Farmers Welfare ,Department of Agriculture,Co operation and Farmers welfare (GOI)after serving 38 years in this Dte .(Certificate of my retirement) .
It is my privilege to serve the Society even after my retirement through Social Media by the mercy of Almighty God .I share my few experiences and views about IPM as follow:- Friends ,
1.All the Schemes of Dte .of Plant Protection,Quarantine and Storage including Plant Qarantine ,Locust Control, CIB$RC,CIL,are the components of Integrated Pest
Management (IPM).These schemes must work together with following objectives.
*To ensure production of healthy,safe,and bumper crops with minimum expenditure, and least disturbance to community health, Environment, ecosystem, biodiversity nature and society
*To enhance farmers income .
*To save country from outbreaks,and Epidemics of indigenous and exotic pests, ,diseases,and weeds and incursion and invasion of exotic pests dieases and weeds like few exotic Quarantine pests and deadly international pest called Locust which have been invaded in India time to time and the problems of these pests were averted as and when they appeared in our country.
*To ensure GDP based Development of country along with the development of Community health, Environment,ecosystem biodiversity nature and society .
*.To make crop production ,protection ,Integraed Pest Management(IPM) based farming system and crop management systems more and more professional, profitable ,safe to Environment, ecosystem, biodiversity, nature and society and must also be able to produce Quality Agricultural commodities to trade and also to maintain harmony with the nature and society.These systems must also be able to produce nutritious food to the society in sufficient quantity and also do not make development catestrophic in nature.
_IPM and its Philosophy
Philosophy is the habit of describing ,discussing,thinking and rethinking,practicing ,doing brain storming ,relating and planning for the implementation about a concept in different aspects of life in terms of social economical,natural,ecological,cultural mechanical, biological,spiritual,legal,Scientific,administrative parameters.
Described the Philosophy of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)in terms of above mentioned parameters.
IPM Philisophy:-Relating ,defining ,and describing IPM in different perspectives such as life,Society,spirituality,culture, trade,nature,Science,Ecology,Economy,Environment, Crop production , protection ,and Management systems,political,legal and administrative aspects with respect of National and international Scinarios is called as IPM Philosophy.
आई पीएम का विभिन्न दृष्टिकोण जैसे कि जीवन, समाज, संस्कृति ,अध्यात्म, व्यापार ,वैज्ञानिक, परिस्थितिकी ,आर्थिक ,पर्यावरणीय ,फसल उत्पादन ,फसल रक्षा एवं फसल प्रबंधन से संबंधित मुद्दे विभिन्न वैज्ञानिक मुद्दे , कृषि प्रचार एवं प्रसार से जुड़े हुए विभिन्न प्रकार के मुद्दे , वनस्पतियों या पौधों से संबंधित मुद्दे ,राष्ट्रीय एवं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय व्यापार से संबंधित विभिन्न मुद्दों, इसके अतिरिक्त राजनैतिक , लीगल, एवं प्रशासनिक मुद्दे से संबंध स्थापित करना ,वर्णन करना और परिभाषित करना ही आईपीएम फिलासफी कहलाता है l
2.IPM is not a method of Pest Management but it is a concept of pest Management .

Let's define IPM ourselves based on our professional, social, Economic, cultural,ecological, political,administrative,and economical and personal experience of our life.
3.IPM is a skill Development programme to make the farmers and other IPM Stakeholers Competent and expert to produce safe and sufficient crops to ensure food security along with food safety.
4.In today's Social, Economical,Natural,Climatic ,and Environmental Scinarios and context the concept of crop production,protection, IPM and Management must be profitable ,demond based,safe,Sustainable,business, trade and income oriented for mobilizing the youths towards Farming ,and also to improve the living standard or livelyhood of the farmers ,able to ensure GDP based Development of the country along with the Environmental ,ecological,social and natural Development,to maintain harmony with life ,nature,and society,to ensure food security along with food and nutritional safety simultaneously,and also able to neutralize बेअसर the adverse effects of climate change and global warming ,and able to keep ecosystems always activated ,to promote biofortified and drought resistant varieties, Diversification of Agriculture in profitable sectors through crop rotation,promotion of Organic Farming ,IPM based farming,Integrated farming ,zerobuget based Natural farming,promotion of importable crops like Oilseeds,vegetable and fruit crops, to reduce the cost of crop production,protection and management,to keep agroecosystem active .
5.IPM Strategy:-
A strong political and beaurecratic will power and support,correct vision,working attitude in team,proactiveness,to get success at any cost and any way with correct objectives and achieving goals with available resources, creating awareness and motivating the farmers and other IPM Stakeholers are the main components of strategy to be included for the implementation of any concept including IPM to get desired results and success.These components were adopted by our Hon.Prime Minister to combat Covid problem during 2020.Same steps and components can also be used to implement IPM .We learnt a lesson from the strategy used to combat the Covid 19 Problem appeared in the Country during 2020 that if we can combat the Covid problem without medicine why we can not implement IPM without IPM Inputs .IPM inputs can only facilitate us to implement IPM.
IPM Principles:Nonviolence, Sympathy,Tolerance,Harmony, Senstivity,Whole World is One family,Live and let live,Sense of discrimination, kindness,Humanity,Universal brotherhood,Global welfare,Friendly for every one,Happiness for every one,nature is God,Science is truth,work is worship,welfare of all,Safety to every one,unity in diversity.

*IPM is committed to welfare of allo in the Universe .
*IPM is Committed to sustain life on the earth.
*To maintain harmony with nature and society
*to keep Environment safe.
*To keep Ecosystem Operative.
* To conserve natural resources including beneficial organisms found in agroecosystem .
*To grow safe food to eat and quality Agricultural commodities to trade.

IPM Is a Social movement to:------
*To reduce the use of chemicals i.e.Chemical pesticides and fertilizers in Agriculture.
*TO reduce the quantity of residue of chemical pesticides and fertilizers in food ,fodder, fruits vegetables, human beings ,cattles in ludington wild and aquatic animals etc.
Besides plant protection IPM is very much concerns with crop production Community health,Environment ,Ecosystem, biodiversity,wild life,Social and economic importance,
nature,society including community Development and natioal and international cooperation,and National and international Trades.
-Development :-
Development must include Socioeconomic ,natural,Environmental, ecological and ecosystem based development.
DEVELOPMENT :-
DEVELOPMENT SHOULD NOT BE CATESTROPHIC IN NATURE.
