Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is committed to provide safe food to eat,safe water to drink ,safe air to breathe ,safe environment to live comfortably, quality agricultural commodities to trade to the society besides this it is also committed to conserve nature and its resources like soil,water,air,beneficial flora and fauna,biodiversity etc and is also helpful to maintain ecosystem and natural balance in the nature.IPM is also helpful to maintain community health, and all other essential things which help to sustain life on earth.It is also helpful to enhance the farmers income and to upgrade their livelihood. It also helps to do various socioeconomic activities and it is the main occupation of the Indian farmers .presently Agriculture has become non profitable occupation and due to which the youngsters farmers or persons don't want to do Agriculture.Agriculture has now become a risk prone occupation and having natural and man made greater potential of various types of threats. IPM is also helpful to combate various types of threats. It is also helpful to maintain the smooth Agricultural trade both national and international level.It also help us to provide all essential elements required to ensure life on earth.
Agriculture has now become multi objective occupation and IPM help us to achieve all the objectives. It also help the society to prevent the environmental pollution including soil,air and water pollutions .It also helps to combate various types of the emergencies related with natural and climatic issues .
In order to minimise the problems described above and also to prevent the crop failure due to over use of the chemical pesticides and to prevent the farmers suicides and other problems related with the govt policies etc IPM must be included in the political agenda for making Govt both Central and state level to prevent the overuse and mis use of the chemical pesticides in Agriculture and also to keep environment safe, clean and green.
