खेती फसल उत्पादन की फसल उत्पादन से लेकर, प्रोसेसिंग अथवा संस्करण, पैकेजिंग, ब्रांडिंग, प्रमाणीकरण, एवं  मार्केटिंग अथवा विपणन तक की एक संपूर्ण योजना है जो सिर्फ लागत पर आधारित ना होकर प्रकृति के संपूर्ण सिद्धांतों पर आधारित है ।यह आर्थिक दृष्टिकोण से लाभकारी एवं स्वास्थ्य के दृष्टिकोण से प्रकृति और समाज के स्वास्थ्य के लिए सुरक्षित होनी चहिए। मिश्रित खेती एवं बहुस्तरीय तरीके से खेती को लाभकारी बनाया जा सकता है।
