IPM is a concept (विचारधारा,/मत) not a method .

Integrated pest management is a concept of plant protction or a way of farming which includes the series of the following types of thoughts related with farming and plant protection.

1.Plant protection with due care of community health, Environment,ecosystem biodiversity nature and society. 

2.To get rid of from the pest problem with minimum expenditure, minimum use of the chemical pesticides and fertilizers with least disturbance to community health, Environment,ecosystem biodiversity nature and society. 

3.It is a way of farming without harming to the nature and society. 

4.IPM is the way of farming for the production of healthy,safe,profitable and bumper crop harvest to eat and quality Agricultural commodities to trade with minimum expenditure, with minimum use of the chemical pesticides and fertilizers by suppressing and maintaining the pest population below Economic threshold level (ETL)or at the level at which the harm due to the pests is inflicted to insignificance or minor through adoption of all available,affordable,acceptable, feasible, effective and safe methods of pest management in compatible manner or with Integrated manners and right way with least disturbance to community health, Environment,ecosystem biodiversity nature and society  aiming to ensure food security along with food safety, to maintain ecological balance in nature,and to make Environmen int neat,clean,and green to sustain life on earth to ensure GDP based economical development along with environmental, ecological, natural and social development and also to maintain harmony with the nature and society. 

5.IPM is Committed to ensure or to make or to  convert plant Protection and Agriculture ......

     Economically viable, climatically strong,Environmentally safe,ecologically sustainable,commercially profitable,business and income oriented ,maintaining harmony with nature and society and natural balance in nature,food security along with food safety,promoting Livelyhood of the farmers .

6.IPM is a way of plant Protction which is better suited community / society,Environment, ecosystem, biodiversity and nature .

7 .IPM is the way of pest management along  with the management of pesticides ,natural resources,and social needs and problems in Integrated manners. 

8.IPM is not only bioecological approach but it is also sociological,economical,crop physiological,genitical,policy,income,and market oriented approach of pest management which deals with crop production, protection and management systems along with safety and security of nature and society. 

9.To curtail the use of chemicals I.e.chemical pesticides and fertilizers in Agriculture and to make  crop production ,protection and management better suited to community health, Environment, ecosystem, biodiversity, nature and society  is the basic approach for the implementation of IPM.

10.IPM is a skill Development, motivational ,awareness creation programme for making crop production, protection and management system safe and secure to nature and society and also a social movement to curtail the use of chemical s in Agriculture to ensure food security along with food safety. 

11.IPM is related with all aspects of life.It is also related with nature and society .

12.IPM is a way forward from Grow more food to Grow safe food.

13.IPM is not confined only up to plant protection but it is also dealing the issues beyond the plant protection which are related with nature ,society,Environment, ecosystem, community health,national and international trades  ,biodiversity, biosecurity.food security,and issues related to sustain life on earth etc.

13.Indiscriminate use  and misuse  use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers in Agriculture leads  their abuses to nature and society which tend us to adopt IPM.
