Towards Ever Green Revolution

During Early 1960's due to development of four Agricultural inputs like Seeds of high yielding Varieties, Development of irrigation facilities ,and Chemical pesticides and fertilizers we achieve Green  Revolution or selfe sufficiency in food grain  production ,during 19 60's  and 19 70's,.During the next decade the slogan of  second Green Revolution  was given as India became fully self dependent in food grain production and also became main Exporter of Rece and Wheat .Now a dys we are producing more than 30 Crore Tonnes of food grains which mor than our domestic consumption.After Green Revolution  there has been unbalanced Development in Agriculture sector which brought several challenges .we are in surplus of Carbohydrate production in food where as we are in shortage of  protein and fats ie pulses and Oil seeds which give us problems make nutrition .Hence there is a need to bring Evergren Revolution to remove un balance in food components for which the production of pulses and oilseed crops must be enhanced.
