Mitigation of pest Emergency

Self awareness,self motivation, co operation and co ordination,Soil health monitoring, proper quarantine,strict pest  Surveillance and monitoring, timely detection of the pest population and intensity,timely decision making through Agroecosystem Analysis(AESA),timely planning and preparation are the mantras of mitigating the pest emergency .

      Healthy soil,healthy water,favorable climate and weather,quality inputs ,promoting biopesticides , biofertilizers and biocontrol agents ,reducing the use of chemical pesticides and chemical fertilizers and promoting biopesticides and biofertilizers are  essentially  required to combat the pest emergencies.Promoting the cultivation of those crops which requires less water is also the need of the hour .

  IPM is not a material but it is a way of doing the farming.
