Regular periodical analysis of both biotic and abiotic factors and their interactions along with the effects of in build capacity of plants on the plant health and population of pests and their natural enemies , diseases, weeds intensity at particular or regular intervals over a desired period of time or in entire crop season to take descion about the interventions to be adopted in that particular field is called as Agroecosystem Analysis ( AESA). It is a type pest surveillance and monitoring activity to note the pattern of build up of pests ,diseases and weeds and their natural enemies for adoption of suitable management strategies to be adopted in next week. It is a kind of descision making process.
Steps to be adopted for AESA:-
1. To note the observations on population of pests, their natural enemies, diseases ,weeds intensity and population of neutrals found in a crop field along with the data on abiotic factors like rain fall, temperature, moisture,RH and PH etc
2. Preparation of AESA chart at regular intervals.
3.Presemtation and discussion on AESA chart among farmers.
4.. Descion making based on discussion and observations taken as described above.
5.AESA is the one of the activities of crop pest surveillance and monitoring.
